Overview of the July 2023 Community Empowerment Workshop
From July 3 to 4, 2023, the Inspired Women Organisation (IWO) successfully organized a two-day workshop aimed at equipping community members with essential knowledge and skills to promote wellbeing, protection, and empowerment.

Key Activities and Outcomes
Training on Core Topics
Participants engaged in interactive sessions designed to address key community challenges:
Hygiene Management: Promoting better personal and community hygiene practices to reduce health risks.
Child Protection: Raising awareness about protecting children from abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and fostering a safe environment for their growth.
Gender-Based Violence (GBV): Educating participants on the causes and prevention of GBV and how to support survivors.
Mental Control and Wellness: Offering techniques to manage stress and build resilience in the face of challenges.

Participant Engagement
The workshop attracted a diverse group of 100 participants, showcasing the community’s eagerness to learn and contribute. Attendees included individuals from various backgrounds, all committed to applying the knowledge gained to improve their lives and communities.

Daily Closing Receptions
At the end of each workshop day, a reception was held to encourage networking, reflection, and community building. These informal gatherings provided a space for participants to share their insights and strengthen connections with one another.

Impact
This workshop empowered 100 individuals with practical skills and knowledge to address critical issues like hygiene, child protection, and mental wellness. By fostering education and collaboration, the event reinforced IWO’s mission to create inclusive and sustainable communities.
