IWO focuses on safeguarding women and girls from sexual and gender-based violence (S/GBV) in crisis situations. We provide support for their physical and emotional wellbeing while promoting livelihood opportunities to help them achieve economic independence. We also advocate for menstrual hygiene management and ensure gender-sensitive policies are integrated across all our programs, with particular attention to child protection.

We believe that access to health care is a fundamental right. IWO works to ensure that vulnerable women, youths, and children receive equitable, quality health services, including sexual and reproductive health care. Our goal is to reduce health disparities by making health care accessible to all, regardless of socio-economic status or gender.

Recognizing that climate change disproportionately affects women and vulnerable communities, IWO integrates gender-sensitive approaches into climate resilience strategies. We work on initiatives that empower women as leaders in environmental protection and climate adaptation, ensuring their voices are central in tackling environmental challenges.

IWO regularly organizes workshops and seminars focused on raising awareness and building capacity within communities. These sessions cover topics like human rights, conflict resolution, economic empowerment, and gender equality, fostering a culture of peace and knowledge-sharing to build sustainable, empowered communities.
